Booking Policy
Last updated: [DATE — confirm on publication]
1. Confirming your safari
Your safari is confirmed once you have approved your written itinerary and quotation and we have received your deposit. [DEPOSIT PERCENTAGE AND PAYMENT METHODS TO BE CONFIRMED — e.g. 30% deposit by bank transfer or card.]
2. Balance payment
The remaining balance is due [NUMBER] days before your arrival date. [CONFIRM — commonly 60–90 days for safari operators, driven by camp payment terms.]
3. Changes to your booking
We know plans move. We will always try to accommodate date or itinerary changes; where camps apply amendment fees, these are passed on at cost. [CONFIRM ANY IN-HOUSE AMENDMENT FEE.]
4. Cancellations
Cancellation charges reflect what our suppliers withhold at each stage: [CANCELLATION SCHEDULE TO BE CONFIRMED — a typical structure:]
- [More than 90 days before arrival: deposit retained]
- [89–60 days: 50% of total cost]
- [59–30 days: 75% of total cost]
- [Under 30 days: 100% of total cost]
5. Travel insurance
Comprehensive travel insurance — covering medical care, evacuation, cancellation, and curtailment — is a condition of travelling with us. We will ask for your policy details before departure.
6. Passports, visas, and health
You are responsible for valid passports (6+ months validity), Kenyan eTA/visa requirements, and any vaccinations or malaria precautions advised for your itinerary. We share guidance during planning, but requirements remain your responsibility.
7. If we must change your trip
Rarely, events beyond our control (park closures, camp availability, weather) force changes. Where this happens we will offer an alternative of equal or better standard, or a refund of the affected portion. [FORCE MAJEURE WORDING TO BE CONFIRMED WITH LEGAL COUNSEL.]
